HIL TESTING
Marine Cybernetics offers Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) safety and performance testing of safety critical control systems on ships and offshore installations. The unique and patented CyberSea Simulator technology is used to detect software and hardware errors as well as incorrect configuration parameters. The following test activities are normally conducted:
- Test at Factory - much more extensive test of functionality, configuration and failure handling at FAT.
- Test at Dock - retesting and integration testing during commissioning in order to be well prepared for CAT and sea trials.
- Test at Sea - final verification.
The benefits are:
- Independent testing by competent people.
- Less delays and trouble during vessel building and upgrades due to earlier, deeper and broader testing.
- Less incidents and off-hire due to computer problems.
We provide solutions for:
- Offshore vessels including platform supply vessels, anchor handling vessels, seismic and survey vessels, diving support vessels, drilling units, pipe-laying vessels, construction and intervention vessels, offloading shuttle tankers, LNG tankers, and FPSOs.
- Cruise ships and ferries
- Navy ships
- Other advanced vessel
HIL test services are offered for the following systems:
- Dynamic positioning systems.
- Power management systems.
- Thruster and propulsion control systems.
- Offshore crane control systems.
- Drilling control systems.
- and others.
